Job summary

Fraser-Yachts is seeking a recruitment professional to interview crew, thoroughly vet references and licenses, and carry out candidate selection aligned with client briefs. You will work within the local office and global Crewing Teams, coordinating with Fraser Yacht Management and following company procedures to achieve goals.

You will utilize CRM and social media to source crew, present client-ready shortlists, and actively market TCN services while working toward targets and occasionally

  • Strong computer and social media experience are necessary.
  • Marine Industry experience preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in sales and recruiting is a bonus.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational experience.

Job description

To interview crew and fully vet their references and licenses. To carry out thorough search and selection of potential candidates. Present a timely shortlist that closely matches the requirements of a detailed client brief. Ensure client and crew satisfaction by efficiency and after-sales service.

To work as a member of the local office and global Crewing Teams; often liaising closely with Fraser Yacht Management and using Company procedures and professional recruitment practices to achieve goals.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
  • Interviewing crew
  • Reference and License checking
  • Ensuring MLC compliance
  • Maintaining and updating crew records and populating assigned software
  • Reception and general administrative duties
  • Utilizing CRM and social media to source crew
  • Presenting the client with pertinent shortlists
  • Actively selling and marketing TCN services
  • Working to targets
  • Attending boat shows
JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Working knowledge of industry tools (Job Boards, social media, etc.)
  • Excellent communicator in spoken and written English; A second languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel if needed;
  • People person that builds long-term relationships.
  • Good listener and judge of people.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Work is conducted most often indoors in an air conditioned, illuminated office environment and periodically outdoors inspecting boats, meeting with yacht captains, and crew aboard vessels, at ports, and on floating barges.
  • Local travel may be required.
  • Utilization of standard office equipment is used in the working environment.
  • Motor skills and senses needed to carry out duties include talking, listening, typing, writing, visual inspection of documents and spaces.
Physical Abilities:
  • Light lifting, pushing, walking, and climbing stairs on boats.
