Roca Inc. Hartford location is seeking a TECS Crew Supervisor to oversee a work crew, ensure program compliance, model work standards, and guide participants through CBT-informed training and workforce readiness activities.

You will support, supervise, and coach youth on pre-vocational and employment pathways, coordinating with a Crew Supervisor to meet contract obligations and deliverables across on-site shifts.

Qualifications

• BA preferred/Equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum of three years of direct service work with high-risk young people.
• Willingness to work on projects including construction, landscaping, painting, and building maintenance.
• Experience teaching, managing, and working with small groups.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with excellence and on time.
• Capacity to think and act intentionally and strategically to help young people change behaviors.
• Creative problem-solving and thinking.
• Excellent at organizing, managing and completing multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously with thoroughness, accuracy, timeliness and good humor.
• Self-motivation, initiative, sound judgment, and commitment to ongoing learning are essential.
• Strong attendance, high energy, and ability to motivate others to engage in classes and training.
• Ability to break down and explain/teach skills to a population with varying skills/education capabilities.
• Desire to support high risk young men learn necessary work skills to retain long term employment.
• Computer Literacy and timely data submission/entry.
• Ability to work as a part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Primary responsibility to manage a work crew in alignment with state and local guidelines and worksite requirements and expectations.
• Ability to explain and role model the process of obtaining and sustaining employment through job search and overall workforce professionalism.
• Strong ability to utilize Roca’s intervention Model to build transformational relationships and coach behavior change.
• Strong ability to have difficult conversations and hold crew accountable for work performance.
• Ability to teach and coach Roca participants how to sustain employment by role modeling and communicating best practices and utilizing Roca’s workforce readiness curriculum.
• Ability to reach out to or receive calls/texts from Roca participants after hours in relation to work.
• Manage adaptive work schedule and activities based on needs such as teaching pre-vocational skills; maintain a caseload of participants, and active engagement in job placement.
• Continual learning, demonstration, practice of Roca’s intervention model.
• Consistently enter accurate and timely case notes and Transitional Employment Program (TEP) time and attendance records into ETO (Efforts to Outcome system) daily.
• Facilitate, apply, practice, and demonstrate Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT informally, formally, and virtually
• Engage with other aspects of work, such as but not limited to, court engagement, keeping peacemaking circles, work with community partners, productive and professional participation in meetings, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
