Job description

Seeking reliable team players to join our landscaping crews while following instructions and paying close attention to detail. Hiring at Fox Chapel, South Fayette and Monroeville branch.

Job Description:

Landscaping duties include but are not limited to the use of hand/power tools & other equipment, laying sod, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installing mortarless masonry wall units.

Winter Hours:

Potential for winter hours would consist of snow removal, including hand shoveling, applying de-icing materials to walks with a spreader, operating a snow blower, hand spreading of de-icing materials, operating a snowplow truck and salt spreader, and using a skid loader to push snow and load trucks. Availability on an on-call basis is required anytime of the day/night throughout the winter months.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• General knowledge of landscape maintenance
• Experience with a professional landscaping company preferred, but not necessary
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Ability to operate various equipment
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Exposure to moving traffic areas.
• Constant exposure to outside elements, e.g., heat or cold.

This position may exceed the standard 40-hour workweek during busier parts of the season. One must be flexible and well organized as job expectations may change due to the nature of our business.
