Job Responsibilities

1. Guest Service – Coordinate with Hosts and utilize available technology and resources to promptly seat guests with a consideration for efficiency of general operations. Provide menus and accurately answer questions regarding menu items, specials, not‑in‑stock items, and beverage options. Accurately and efficiently accept food and beverage orders. Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner. Ensure guests have a positive dining experience by addressing any concerns promptly.
2. Order Management – Effectively utilize the POS system to accurately take, manage, and transact orders. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation. Monitor tables to anticipate guests’ needs and respond to requests promptly.
3. Table Maintenance – Assist Host and other floor staff in clearing and resetting tables to achieve and maintain turnover time goals. Refill drinks, clear plates, and maintain general cleanliness of dining areas. Ensure that all table settings, menus, condiments, and marketing collateral are present and clean for each re‑setting.
4. Payment Processing – Present bills, accept payments, operate the POS system, and make correct change. Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
5. Team Collaboration – Work collaboratively with kitchen, managers, and other restaurant staff to provide exceptional dining experiences to guests, while actively working to minimize waste, loss, and operating inefficiencies. Assist in training and mentoring new Servers and Hosts as needed. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
6. Compliance and Safety – Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Follow all health and safety regulations. Ensure that alcoholic beverages are served in compliance with local laws.
7. Promotional Activities – Promote daily specials and other restaurant offerings. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
8. Additional Duties – Perform opening and closing duties as assigned. Assist with special events and catering as assigned. Accurately complete takeout and delivery orders as required.
