General Overview

Jersey Mike's restaurants are independently owned and operated franchise locations. Franchisees are independent business owners who set their own wage and benefit programs, which can vary between franchisees. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the franchisee. Employees will work the front counter, be responsible for customer service, making sandwiches, interacting with customers and co-workers. Crew members will complete other tasks associated with operating a store. The expectation of any employee is to uphold the highest level of Jersey Mike's operational standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide food that meets Jersey Mike's specifications and high-quality standards
• Provide service that is above and beyond for the customer
• Maintain a clean store and workplace
• Set up the store, including food preparation
• Food safety and sanitation, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Usage of slicer (18 years old and above only)
• Usage of tomato slicer (17 years old and above only)
• Follow directives of Operations Partner in execution of responsibilities

• Providing customer service at the highest level possible throughout the restaurant

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers and co-workers on a consistent basis

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience in food service
• 0-1 year experience in cash handling

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Incumbent performs constant vigorous physical tasks requiring long periods of standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting, involving moderate muscular strain. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted. Periodic local travel may be required.
