Challenge Unlimited in Mascoutah, IL is seeking a Full-time Crew Lead / Janitor for the night shift at SAFB Commissary to maintain a clean and orderly facility. The role supervises workers, ensures safety procedures, and supports quality, teamwork, and customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (not required), at least 1 year of experience, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. helpful but not required.
• 1+ years of work experience, preferably in retail, grocery, or convenience store environment or department manager.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
• Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments. Company travel using personal insured vehicles is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew in completing contract required tasks per SOW and policies.
• Stock and straighten merchandise; display items with labels.
• Develop, modify, and complete contract paperwork as needed.
• Support Project Manager and ensure safety, quality, and customer service.
• Create schedules and train crew; monitor safety and PPE usage.

Position Summary

We are looking a Full-time a Crew Lead a Janitor for the night shift at SAFB Commissary to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our facility in a clean and orderly condition.

• Pay Rate: $18.20per hour
• Full - Time
• Shift: Monday - Thursday - 6:00pm - Finish
• Location: SAFBMascoutah IL

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Crew Leader is responsible for supervising work-related opportunities for people who have different abilities to work with integrated teams and receive work support and development as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.

Assists with the supervision of employees and clients in the performance of shelf stocking. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and to maintain customer satisfaction while maintaining quality. Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing feedback for improvement. Performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Support

Assist crew in completing contract required tasks, ensuring work is performed according to the contract’s statement of work, company policies and procedures. Stocks and straightens merchandise for sale in the store. Displays merchandise by a predetermined placement system using labels or other identifying marks. Develop, modify, and complete contract paperwork as needed and/or required. Support PM (Project Manager)

Quality Assurance

Maintain quality control standards. Complete regular inspections and quality control reports. Promptly correct any deficiencies and rectify any customer complaints. Respond to nightly Government inspections

Client Development (Operations Work/Job Skills)

Ensure that safety guidelines and policies are followed; conduct safety training and provide personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Report client, employee, and customer issues to Project Manager; make recommendations for corrective actions as needed. Assist with building an effective company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.
