Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Mover Packer Crew Leader in Anchorage, AK. The role leads the crew per job assignment, handles driver duties to/from the job site, and manages packing, loading, and delivery of freight within the greater Anchorage area.

The position requires a valid Class D license, 6 months box truck experience, ability to lift 75 lbs, and strong English communication. Onsite work with OT/weekends as needed, travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Class D driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience driving a box truck.
• Prior military packing experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Ability to read and write in English and understand traffic signs and FHWA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operates a box truck in compliance with local/state codes and company procedures.
• Maintain a professional attitude with customers, coworkers, and the public.
• Adhere to schedules and delivery requirements for Odyssey International Services Inc./ARS and customers.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure repairs are addressed before leaving the terminal.
• Ensure loads are properly stowed and secured for transport.
• Use proper equipment for loading/unloading to prevent damage/injury.
• Lead crew at job sites and be the primary point of contact with dispatch and QC.
• Train team members and ensure job completion in a professional, timely manner.
• Ensure site cleanup and return tools to the warehouse after work.
