Job summary

Odyssey Logistics in Fairbanks, AK is hiring a Mover Packer Crew Leader to supervise the packing and loading of freight within the greater Fairbanks area. You will lead a small crew, coordinate with the Dispatch Manager, monitor safety, and ensure timely delivery of goods to customer locations.

The role requires a valid Class D license, prior box truck experience, ability to lift 75 pounds, and strong teamwork and communication skills. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Class D driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience driving a box truck.
• Prior military packing experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Valid government-issued ID required to access bases or secured facilities.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Ability to read and write in English and understand traffic signs and FHWA rules.
• Strong communication skills with customers, dispatch, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew per job assignment; manage workload and communicate with dispatch.
• Drive and operate a box truck in compliance with laws and company procedures.
• Pack, unpack, load, and deliver freight to company and customer locations.
• Ensure loads are secured and properly stowed for transit.
• Train and guide team members to complete tasks professionally and on time.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and maintain site cleanliness.
