Job Title: Crew Leader 1

Department: Industrial

Reports to: Branch Manager and General Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Purpose: Lead crews performing industrial hydroblasting services, vacuum hose operations, and truck operations safely and efficiently to complete jobs at the client’s site, following client and company policies, practices, and procedures. Operate and maintain equipment as needed.

Essential Functions

• Conduct team meetings on best practices and expectations.
• Supervise and coach employees, providing feedback regularly.
• Complete and approve sales tickets, timesheets, and leave requests promptly.
• Perform corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed, including training, reporting, and follow-up.
• Supervise personnel and equipment for successful job completion, including leading employees effectively and ensuring safe operation of all equipment.
• Complete all required tickets and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Operate equipment such as vacuum trucks, hydroblasters, hydraulic pumps, and jetter trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Assist technicians and operators with manual tasks.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Complete DOT paperwork and daily work tickets accurately.
• Report issues to the Branch Manager.
• Follow safety procedures including JSA’s, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and housekeeping.
• Perform equipment repairs if needed.
• Lead small groups on specific jobs.
• Arrive on time, adhere to policies, and wear PPE properly.
• Travel as required, sometimes for extended periods.

Marginal Functions

• Assist in other areas such as Shop, Parts, Inventory, and Municipal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions

Industrial setting, outside environment, exposure to extreme temperatures and chemicals, extended standing, climbing, and communication via radio/phone.
