Job Summary

The General Tree Care Team are the muscle of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients' landscapes.

This position pays up to $35/hr depending on years of experience, plus paid PTO, benefits, and 401K.

Position Overview

The Crew Lead position is a specialized role for individuals demonstrating leadership qualities and approved by local management to provide direction within a work crew. Knowledge requirements include: TCIA Crew Leader Training Program, Crew Safety, Personal Safety, Hazard of Inexperience, and the ability to check off levels equal and below.

The Tree Care Team applies expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure the health and well-being of each client's landscape. Team members work outdoors, visiting beautiful properties in their community, and are involved in pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree care activities.

What We Look For

• Experience with proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamentals
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species
• Ability to climb without spurs
• Experience with tree care safety standards
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck)
• Knowledge of safety policies, hazard tree identification, and proper use of climbing equipment
• Understanding of various tree species and climbing techniques
• Ability to perform aerial rescue if needed

Essential Qualifications

• Desire to work outdoors
• Valid U.S. driver's license; CDL is a plus
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
