DCCM Infrastructure Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Crew Chief to oversee field survey operations, ensure QA/QC, and support engineering design duties.

You will lead field crews, manage surveys including ALTA/ACSM Land Title, Route, Topographic, Construction Staking, and Transportation projects for public and private clients. The role requires 5–10 years of survey crew chief experience, proficiency with TXDOT standards, and strong communication, organization, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–10 years as survey crew chief, with land boundary and topographic surveying experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficient with TXDOT standards and codes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Solid computer skills and project management ability.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Leads field survey team in the field and supervises staff.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Crew Chief to join our Survey team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing survey operations at various sites, ensuring quality checks, and assisting with engineering design duties. Your expertise in data processing and analysis will be essential in supporting fieldwork and leading the survey crew.

What you will do:

• Leads the Company’s field survey team in the field and supervises additional staff members assisting in survey assignments.
• Performs the following types of surveys: ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking and Transportation projects for both public and private clients.
• Performs complex surveying calculations using engineering calculator, laptop computer, and coordinate geometry software.
• Adheres to QA/QC procedures and notetaking.
• Follows work orders from project managers.
• Proficiency with Leica GPS and Robotic Total Stations.
• Drives Company vehicle to and from worksites.
• Reviews and follows project scope, keeping all project information and electronic files well organized.
• Completes all assigned tasks in a timely fashion, be diligent in field procedures and always maintain company standards.

What you bring:

• 5-10 years of survey crew chief experience including land boundary and topographic surveying.
• Valid driver’s license.
