Job summary

IHOP is seeking a restaurant professional to lead dining room operations, train hourly Team Members, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. You will maintain standards for food presentation, service timing, and regulatory compliance while minimizing waste and maintaining supplies.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a Spokane, WA area IHOP location.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP team members and guests.
  • Help implement IHOP Training programs for hourly Team Members to improve operations and guest experience.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and current operations plan.
  • Manage dining room operations and maintain regular contact with guests; handle complaints professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the unit.
  • Train Team Members on SOPs and operations plan for the unit.
  • Communicate and enforce IHOP policies and maintain crew appearance and uniforms.
  • Ensure food follows IHOP SOP in specs, recipes, plating, delivery, packaging and garnishes; serve at proper temperatures.
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies and order food timely; minimize inventory and avoid stockouts.
  • Ensure equipment and facility meet regulatory and IHOP standards and keep premises clean and well-maintained.

Job Summary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP restaurant hourly Team Members, Corporate and Regional Team Members, and Guests.

Help with implementing the IHOP Training program for all restaurant hourly Team Members to improve unit operations and the guest experience.

Operating Procedures (SOP) and current operations plan.

Manage the dining room floor and focus on regular contact with Guests. Maintain the frequency of guest complaints within acceptable limits and handle complaints in a professional and timely manner. Ensure approved guest feedback system is in use and acted upon.

Comply with federal, state and local regulations that are applicable to the assigned unit.

Train Team Members in accordance with the current SOP and operations plan for the assigned unit.

Communicate and help to enforce policies established by the company.

Maintain crew member appearance and uniform standards.

Ensure food follows IHOP SOP in the areas of specifications, recipes, plating, delivery, packaging and garnishes. Ensure food is presented well and served at appropriate temperatures, within standard ticket times.

Help maintain adequate levels of food, paper, china, silverware, glassware, kitchen supplies, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen, and miscellaneous supplies. Set and adhere to pars. Order food on a timely basis. Keep inventory to a minimum with no out-of-stock items.

Ensure the proper operational condition of equipment, building structure, and premises according to federal, state and local regulations and IHOP SOP. Keep appliances and equipment well-maintained. Keep to-go packaging and supplies adequately stocked. Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the restaurant.

Qualifications
