Job summary

foundationpartners is seeking a Crematory Operator to ensure remains are correctly received, processed, and returned to families. You may assist with transporting deceased individuals from various locations to the funeral home, while maintaining composure, compassion, and professionalism.

The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and strong communication and attention to detail. Crematory operator certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for the deceased respectfully while performing cremation tasks.
• Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities.
• Receive remains and ensure documentation and identification are complete and accurate.
• Determine task order and complete tasks promptly.
• Promote a safe work environment and follow universal precautions.
• Deliver and release cremated remains to the funeral home or family.

Job description

As a Crematory Operator, you will be responsible for seeing that the remains are correctly received, processed, and returned to the family. You may also assist with transporting the deceased from nursing homes, hospitals, residences, or coroner's offices to the funeral home. As funeral home representatives, you must maintain composure in challenging situations with compassion and kindness. You must be at least 21 years old, able to safely lift 100 lbs, and have a valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record.

What You Will Do:

• Compassion & Empathy: Care for the deceased respectfully while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation process
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities
• Meticulous Attention: Receive remains and ensure all documentation is complete and visual identification of the deceased is complete and accurate
• Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptly
• Safety Conscious:Promotes a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct
• Professional Delivery: Delivers and releases cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family member
