Management Performance Associates is partnering with a Virginia-based law firm to recruit a Virginia-licensed Attorney for the Virginia Beach team. The role emphasizes document review, signing, and case management with some litigation duties, and offers a hybrid schedule with on-site document signing and review several days per week.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Virginia.
• Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures, legal filings, and court documentation requirements.
• Ability to efficiently review and process a high volume of legal documents while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Sound legal judgment, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology or case management platforms.
• Self-directed professional who can work independently while collaborating with legal and administrative staff.
• High standards of professionalism, integrity, and client service.

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and sign a high volume of legal documents, pleadings, and filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Manage and oversee assigned legal matters, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Coordinate with legal support staff to facilitate efficient document preparation, processing, and case progression.
• Evaluate case information and provide legal guidance on appropriate next steps.
• Negotiate settlements and assist with the resolution of outstanding matters when needed.
• Prepare or review motions, discovery responses, and other legal materials as appropriate.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, or court appearances as required, with related travel expenses reimbursed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to applicable legal procedures and professional standards.
