Job summary

Alligator Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Creditors Clerk to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for accurate processing and reconciliation of all payment documents within the Group.

Key duties include day-to-day accounts payable, vendor reconciliations, vendor master maintenance, and monthly cash flow projections. The role requires 2–5 years of AP experience, ERP system familiarity, and fluency in English and Afrikaans.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Solid/basic understanding of accounts payable.
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and records.
• ERP system experience (SAP/PASTEL/ACUMATICA).
• Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, word-processing programs, and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strict attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Maintain Vendor Master Accounts.
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve issues.
• Attend to all communication (calls and emails) in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned or as the job requires.
• Perform monthly cash flow projections.
• Ensure that suppliers are paid within terms.
• Attend monthly meetings with the Accountant.

An opportunity exists for a Creditors Clerk to join our Finance team.

As the Creditors Clerk you will be responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of all documents for payment within the Group.

• 2 - 5 years’ experience within a similar position
• Have a solid and basic understanding of Accounts Payable
