Job summary

Union Square Credit Union seeks a friendly and detail‑oriented teller/customer service representative to serve members and open accounts. You will interview applicants, provide information on products and policies, and handle member inquiries with accuracy and courtesy.

Essential duties include processing transfers, advising on IRAs and loans, and ensuring compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC. A high school diploma is required; strong communication and data-analysis skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in teller services, customer service, clerical work, or administrative support.
• Ability to collect and analyze data and understand banking products.
• Familiarity with accounts, IRAs, CDs, loans, and online banking.
• Knowledge of policies and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all incoming calls in a professional manner and assist members.
• Open accounts for all members and interview applicants.
• Provide information on credit union products, services, and policies.
• Respond to emails or electronic requests with prompt and accurate information.
• Resolve member issues or escalate to the appropriate person.
• Promote and cross-sell credit union products based on member needs.
• Promote confidentiality and secure handling of member information.
