Job summary

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is actively hiring Credit Union Examiners to join a nationwide team. Examiners will plan, conduct, and complete examinations of federally insured and federally chartered credit unions, reviewing data to identify risks and issues affecting NCUSIF.

These CU-7 and CU-9 level positions are developmental, offering close supervision under a Supervisory Examiner and a robust training program that includes classroom and on-the-job training, reading

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Skilled in using information systems and technology.
• Skilled in preparing written communications.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in additional languages is desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and complete examinations of federally insured and federally chartered credit unions.
• Analyze credit union data to identify areas of concern, persistency of previous problems, and risk to NCUSIF.
• Some examinations are completed independently; others require teamwork.
