Job summary

Viking Electric in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Credit Support Specialist to assist the Credit Department with lien waivers, daily/monthly credit card payments, deposits, and account research. This full-time, in-office role offers a base wage and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years of office experience, and accounting experience preferred. In-office, daytime hours, benefits include healthcare, PTO, retirement plan, and more.

  • Two years of advanced education or a degree in accounting or general business are preferred.
  • 2+ years of office experience.
  • Accounting experience preferred.
  • Lien waiver experience preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming customer calls and e-mails, in personal and department mailboxes, including working under the direction of the credit analysts and credit manager to fulfill customer requests as assigned.
  • Research and prepare all requested lien waivers, including follow-up, and file waivers in customer main files with supporting documentation.
  • Process daily and monthly credit card payments using stored credit card information in Eclipse and Billtrust system payments. Forward backup documentation for payments to Shared Services for application and send receipts to customers.
  • Prepare and process daily cashbox deposit for department as needed. Review and scan Tax Exemption Certificates into Eclipse. Contact Customers for updated certificates when needed.
  • Assist the Credit Department with customer refund request, completion of vendor forms and requests, research disputed AR items, scanning documents, updating customer contact/email information and other duties as assigned.

Credit Support Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN (in office)

Job type: Full time

Schedule: Standard Daytime hours, Monday-Friday

Base Salary: $20.50/hr - $27.00/hr

  • Compensation for this position includes hourly pay, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base wage may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role.
What You’ll Do

The primary role of the Credit Support Specialist is to provide support for the Credit Department, handling customer lien waivers, daily and monthly credit card payments, daily deposits, researching account information, processing forms and paperwork and other tasks assigned by the Credit Manager.
