Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Credit Solutions Intern for a hands-on 10-week program in Los Angeles. You will support underwriting, loan structuring, risk monitoring, and credit product governance to help maintain credit quality and sustainable loan growth.

You’ll work with teams across Commercial, Real Estate, Private Banking and more, gaining experience and networking with executives while pursuing opportunities for a full-time offer after graduation.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Rising Junior or Senior in college (graduation date no earlier than December of current year)
• Enrolled in a college/university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing projects
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Able to work independently and in teams

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects contributing to team success
• Exposure to credit underwriting and portfolio management on active clients
• Analyze company and personal financial statements for borrower performance
• Analyze industry performance and trends
• Capstone project with Intern cohort
• Instructor-led banking fundamentals training
• Network with executives and senior leadership
• Exposure to all aspects of credit underwriting on active deals
• Update/create valuations and research industry trends
