Job summary

Ex is seeking a risk analytics professional for a hybrid role in San Francisco, Dallas/Frisco, or New York. You will own a consumer lending portfolio and develop underwriting and risk-tier strategies to balance risk and profitability.

Use SQL and Python to analyze large datasets, run A/B tests to improve approvals and pricing, and translate findings into clear insights for leadership and stakeholders. You’ll collaborate across Business, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal

Responsibilities

Own an assigned consumer lending portfolio (personal loans, credit card, student loan refinance) — monitor risk and performance and recommend strategy enhancements.
Build underwriting, line/loan-amount, pre-screen, and risk-tier strategies aligned to the client’s risk appetite.
Analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to identify drivers of losses, approvals, and profitability.
Test and optimize approval, pricing, and limit strategies with champion/challenger and A/B testing.
Leverage internal, bureau, third-party, and alternative data to strengthen decisioning.
Ensure fair lending practices and compliance with client policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Business, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to deploy strategies.
Translate analyses into clear insights and presentations for client stakeholders and leadership.
