BILL is redefining financial automation for SMBs. As a Credit Risk Strategy Data Scientist, you will build risk frameworks and automated monitoring to help businesses gain control over their operations and reduce risk.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to identify opportunities, develop requirements, and implement strategies across the customer lifecycle, while mentoring junior teammates in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in fraud or credit risk strategy within fintech, e-commerce, or online payments.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with ability to work with large, complex datasets and data science libraries.
• Analytical mindset with ability to apply statistics to solve complex problems and drive data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication, able to convey complex results to technical and business audiences.
• Hands-on experience with developing and deploying data-driven monitoring rules and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and refinement of risk strategy frameworks and complex rules.
• Use advanced analytics and data science techniques to build SQL/Python scripts and interpret results.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to identify opportunities and guide execution across the customer lifecycle.
• Build dashboards and monitoring tools using Tableau to provide clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Identify and execute opportunities to optimize processes and detect evolving risk trends.
• Mentor and support junior team members to help them grow.
