Job summary

BMO Harris Bank is seeking a senior role within Audit, Risk & Compliance to oversee model risk for a designated portfolio. You will develop and monitor the governance framework, implement metrics and controls, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and effective risk governance.

The role requires deep knowledge of model life cycle, regulatory requirements, and risk policy frameworks, with ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex analyses clearly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience with post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of the model life cycle and model risk management practices.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk policy frameworks.
• Experience with quality control, testing frameworks and governance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, monitoring and reporting on model risk for a portfolio.
• Develop and monitor the governance framework and practices across BMO.
• Implement methodology, metrics and program standards for compliance and monitoring.
• Produce governance reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve risk measurement and decision making.
