Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a senior professional to oversee model risk governance within Audit, Risk & Compliance. You will develop, monitor, and report on the model risk program across a designated portfolio, partnering with stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely action.

The role requires deep expertise in model life cycle, regulatory requirements, and data-driven decision making, with leadership to coach teams and drive strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of model risk experience and post-secondary degree in related field
• In-depth knowledge of the model life cycle and governance practices
• Expertise in regulatory requirements and risk policy frameworks
• Strong communication, analytical and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of the model risk governance program
• Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement governance standards and metrics
• Monitor and assess policy compliance, action plans, and risk indicators
• Provide strategic input to senior leaders on risk strategy and initiatives
