The role involves working at an MUFG office or client sites four days a week and remotely one day. Additional details will be provided by our recruitment team.

Active Portfolio Management

• Manage the Energy portfolio (Oil & Gas, Power) as a credit officer.
• Analyze credit risk, determine ratings, and recommend ratings to management.
• Prepare detailed credit analyses and applications, evaluating various risks and recommending credit extensions.
• Collaborate with business lines to manage portfolio safety and development.
• Communicate critical account information to relevant parties within the bank.
• Perform due diligence and scheduled reviews.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Support and mentor analysts and associates in credit risk management.

Deal Support

• Identify prospective transactions with business lines.
• Assess structural risks and recommend deal structuring and covenants.
• Advise account officers on credit risk issues to maximize profit and minimize costs.
• Communicate independently with the credit division for decision-making support.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in credit and portfolio management within the Energy sector.
• Deep knowledge of corporate credit analysis, risk management, and valuation.
• Ability to build complex financial models.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and structural risks.
• Understanding of regulatory environments in Japan and the U.S.

The salary range is $142K - $180K, with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including health, retirement, education, and paid leave.
