About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Credit Risk Manager with 3-5 years of practical risk experience to join our team. This role requires extensive use of data to monitor, review, and derive insights and develop risk and credit strategies. It offers the opportunity to dive deep across multiple functions, spanning the Data team to develop new underwriting models, the Product team to develop new products, features, and pricing models, the Corporate team to help facilitate discussions with debt and equity investors, and more. As a Credit Risk Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our lending products and ensuring a sustainable, performant portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics to monitor risk with a focus on our credit portfolio.
  • Analyze data using SQL and Python to derive actionable insights.
  • Evaluate borrower profiles, payment behavior, and portfolio performance to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  • Review & build upon existing ML models to target gains in performance benchmarks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and portfolio stress tests.
  • Generate reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and measure performance across the payment lifecycle, encompassing collections and dispute management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize delinquency rates and optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Continuously improve risk assessment frameworks and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in workflows.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in a data-focused risk role (exposure to consumer credit risk is preferred)
  • Extensive experience with SQL and Python, or other scripting languages. Experience with Spark and Databricks is a plus.
  • Experience/knowledge with Machine Learning is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organization.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curious and passionate to learn new things and think outside the box.
  • A passion for finding insights in data and driving changes based on those insights.

Pay range and compensation package

  • NY based: $115k - $145k
  • Remote: $100k - $130k

Additional Information

A background and police check will be required as part of the recruitment process. Applicants must hold citizenship or permanent residency. No visa sponsorship available.
