Job summary

Western is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst in West Fargo, ND to support lending, credit, mortgage, and risk teams in strengthening loan portfolio decisions. You will review files, interpret policies, and help organize reporting used by management and the Board.

Expect cross-functional collaboration and a focus on improving processes and documentation. The role emphasizes analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to connect information across files while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret loan policy and document findings.
• Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Experience reviewing loan files, mortgage processes, or credit risk functions is preferred.
• Comfort learning and using banking systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files, document findings, interpret loan policy, and ensure consistent credit administration.
• Compile and review credit risk and loan portfolio reporting for lending teams, Senior Management, and the Board.
• Support mortgage quality control via file reviews, findings management, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, documentation, procedures, and risk practices.
• Collaborate with lenders, credit professionals, and department leaders to resolve findings and keep work moving forward.
• Maintain accurate, organized documentation to support audit and exam readiness.
