Job description

Atlas is hiring a Credit Analyst on a full-time basis, reporting directly to the Head of Credit Risk. The candidate filling this role will be responsible for underwriting and monitoring HNW clients for consumer and business lending products; supporting the Head of Credit in preparing department presentations and reports, enhancing risk frameworks, and collaborating with other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the origination and underwriting of short-term HNW charge card applications.
  • Conduct a thorough, in-depth financial analysis of credit requests for new and existing clients.
  • Deliver and present professional, comprehensive credit memoranda to management and investors.
  • Collaborate closely with Fraud, Compliance, and Member Services in the management of active clients.
  • Ensure that all credit files are complete, identify any documentation deficiencies, and report to Head of Credit Risk as needed for timely resolutions.
  • Handle applications in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Perform other duties with flexibility as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, STEM, or related field.
  • Recent graduate with 1-3 years of experience, ideally with credit training or experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Tech savvy with a strong proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Propensity to work independently, take accountability, and own the essential functions of the role.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines, including the ability to adapt to a process driven work environment.
  • Effective, professional communication, both written and verbal.
  • Critical and creative thinker with problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills as required in a startup with the ability to comfortably adapt to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
