Job summary

Northern Bank is seeking a Credit Review Analyst in the Credit Department to review commercial loan writeups (C&I, Real Estate and Specialty) for accuracy and to recommend qualitative, technical, and structural edits to presentations.

You will develop a strong understanding of all aspects of commercial credit analysis, apply strong analytical and quantitative skills, and ensure compliance with bank policies while identifying data discrepancies and improving the quality of underwriting materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a changing environment.
• Ability to collaborate with peers across groups.
• Experience identifying data discrepancies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify errors in financial/Tax return analysis, loan structure, and incomplete parts of analysis
• Evaluate budgets, rental rolls, property valuations, and profitability analyses for Real Estate
• Evaluate underlying assumptions or adjustments to develop future cash flows
• Determine whether risk factors are addressed by mitigants
• Provide correct analyses, suggestions, and language for presentations after review
• Ensure compliance with bank and loan policies
