Job summary

Citi seeks a Vice President in Credit Product Strategy to lead risk-aware credit initiatives across the Wholesale Banking portfolio. The role emphasizes design/testing support to resolve MRAs/CAPs, governance to prevent recurrence, and leveraging AI/ML to optimize processes. Travel < 10% and collaboration with regional stakeholders is expected.

The successful candidate will bring 9–12 years in banking, deep credit risk knowledge, and strong communication to influence across teams.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years in banking or FI industry.
• Deep knowledge of wholesale credit processes and policies.
• Credit Officer designation or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of credit risk systems.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise presentations.
• Strong awareness of the control environment.
• Strategic orientation for risk mitigation across business units.
• Proven relationship-building and influence without authority.
• Strong organizational skills under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; concise to varied audiences.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide design/testing support to resolve MRAs/CAPs and SIIs across ICM.
• Support Portfolio Manager to reduce anomalies and drive operational consistency.
• Identify governance mechanisms/controls to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Ensure adoption and improvement of Credit Risk Process Digitalization platforms.
• Ensure on-time completion of CPSO book of work.
• Engage with regional stakeholders for effective issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Identify scope to leverage AI/ML to optimize processes.
• Coach AVP, Associates and Senior Analysts to sustain a strong credit culture.
• Participate in Learning, Development and Training opportunities.
• Support DEI initiatives and Leadership scores; travel <10%.
