Job summary

Industrial Opportunity Partners, LLC is seeking an Investment Team professional at Associate or Vice President level, focused on marketing, sourcing and executing credit opportunity transactions. The role spans credit opportunity and buyouts, with exposure to distressed and special-situations deals.

Based in Evanston, IL (~10 miles north of Chicago), the position offers a base salary range of $125,000–$200,000 with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and standard benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years across special situations or distressed investing, restructuring advisory, leveraged finance, private credit, M&A investment banking, or private equity.
• Experience combining restructuring/special-situations with buy-side credit or private equity is a plus.
• Strong accounting and quantitative skills including modeling, valuation and waterfall analysis for equity and credit investments.
• Excellent work ethic and ability to engage with teams, lenders and advisors; highly organized and collaborative.
• Professionalism and attention to detail; eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in screening, sourcing and evaluating borrowers and credit facilities; analyze capital structure, covenants and intercreditor issues; model recovery and waterfalls; assess path to equity.
• Review and underwrite new transactions — credit opportunity and traditional buyouts with investment professionals.
• Build and manage financial models; conduct diligence; support debt financing for buyouts.
• Attend management presentations and lender meetings; coordinate with counsel, advisors and operating consultants; engage lenders; draft approval documents.
• Participate in portfolio company management, attend board meetings, and track KPIs throughout ownership.
