Qualifications

• 5+ years prior collection experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting and collections in a wholesale distribution environment.
• Knowledge of data processing and computer use.
• Supervisory skills for general accounting staff.
• Knowledge of standard accounting practices, procedures, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage credit management and oversee credit control functions within established guidelines.
• Lead, manage, and motivate credit analysts to achieve collections targets.
• Prepare monthly KPI reports for the department and update CFO on ageing reports.
• Maintain client relationships to reduce exposure to bad debt.
• Analyze delinquent accounts and report on highest risk accounts with recommendations.
• Interface with collection agencies and attorneys for potential bad debts.
• Prepare weekly cash forecasts with input from the Accounting Manager.
• Assist CFO with financial reporting, staffing decisions, training, and performance reviews.
