Job summary

AGRILAND FS offers a paid Summer Credit internship located at the Winterset corporate office, about 30 minutes southwest of Des Moines. The role engages in credit and finance activities to support the credit department and provides hands-on experience in a large agricultural cooperative.

Interns will work with mentors and gain autonomy with guidance, including exposure to training, tours, and specific projects designed to enhance practical understanding of credit operations in a cooperative

Qualifications

• Second or third year college student.
• Pursuing Accounting, Business, Ag Business or Finance degree with at least two summers left before graduation.
• Willingness to learn on the job and adapt to new software.

• Requesting customer trade and bank reference information.
• Pulling Credit Bureau Reports.
• Lien waiver preparation.
• Collection letter preparation.
• Credit staff meetings.
• Understanding how the balance sheet is created.

AGRILAND FS is a growing cooperative offering products and services to a variety of consumers and businesses in Agriculture, Fuel, Lubricants, Propane, Structures, and Turf. The Summer Credit internship will be located at the corporate office in Winterset (30 minutes Southwest of Des Moines) and will have immediate impact by engaging in business activities to assist the credit department.

Position Offers:

• Hands on credit/finance experience in a large profitable agricultural supply and grain cooperative
