Job summary

Just Temps is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a full-time temporary role up to four weeks. The position is based in the UK and involves debt collection, ledger maintenance and collaboration with finance colleagues to ensure timely payments.

The hourly rate is circa £20.00. Ideal candidates will have strong credit control experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage high-volume ledgers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated customer ledger and ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms.
• Contact customers by telephone and email to chase outstanding payments.
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and account queries promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
• Escalate overdue or problematic accounts where appropriate.
• Work closely with the wider finance team to resolve queries and ensure timely payment.
• Assist with aged debt reporting and regular ledger reviews.
• Support wider accounts receivable and finance administration as required.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role,

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm.

Hourly rate circa £20.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an allocated customer ledger and ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms.

About You:

• Previous experience in a
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confidence speaking with customers regarding outstanding payments.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
• Experience working with high-volume ledgers or within a fast-paced finance environment would be advantageous.
