Job Description

The Credit Control Manager is responsible for leading all credit, collections, and receivable operations across RockForce's multi-subsidiary structure, including corporate, union, and non-union entities. This role safeguards company cash flow by balancing strong client relationships in the live-entertainment industry with disciplined financial governance.

The position ensures timely billing and collection for project-based labor events, monitors credit risk across high-volume client accounts, and maintains transparent communication with Operations, HR, and regional leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
Credit Management
  • Develop and enforce Rock Force's credit policy across all subsidiaries and regions, aligning with client contracts and union requirements.
  • Evaluate new client creditworthiness using trade references, financial statements, and industry insights (touring companies, venues, promoters, etc.).
  • Set and review credit limits by entity and ensure consistency with client history and event billing patterns.
  • Monitor exposure across corporate, union, and non-union divisions to maintain balanced cash flow.
  • Partner with Operations and Regional Vice Presidents to proactively address credit concerns on large or repeat events.
Accounts Receivable & Collections
  • Oversee national A/R activity, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections for project-based and multi-jurisdictional clients.
  • Implement standardized billing workflows for recurring labor engagements, ensuring compliance with union contribution requirements and CBA-specific terms.
  • Lead daily A/R operations—cash application, reconciliations, adjustments, and dispute resolution—across multiple EINs.
  • Maintain detailed aging reports segmented by entity (Corporate, Union, Non-Union) and report on DSO performance to executive leadership.
  • Communicate directly with key client finance departments to resolve outstanding balances and build long-term trust.
Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Design credit control dashboards that visualize real-time receivables, aging, and collection metrics across subsidiaries.
  • Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate integration of hours, rates, and contributions into billing workflows.
  • Support system enhancements and ERP/HRIS integrations (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, QuickBooks, NetSuite) for invoice automation and reconciliation accuracy.
  • Continuously evaluate processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual adjustments.
Leadership & Compliance
  • Supervise and mentor Credit Control and A/R staff; foster accountability, accuracy, and collaboration with Operations and Finance.
  • Ensure adherence to Rock Force's financial policies, client contracts, and union reporting requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits with full documentation of invoices, payments, and adjustments.
  • Contribute to executive cash-flow forecasting and strategic financial planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in credit control, A/R, or collections with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience in a multi-EIN or project-based service organization (entertainment, construction, or staffing preferred).
  • Strong understanding of union and non-union billing structures, including trust fund remittances and CBA obligations.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP or accounting platforms (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, Paylocity, ADP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Core Competencies
  • Financial discipline & analytical accuracy
  • Cross-entity collaboration (Finance, HR, Operations)
  • Client relationship management
  • Leadership and staff development
  • Process optimization & compliance oversight
Performance Metrics
  • Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) by entity and client segment
  • Collection efficiency & dispute resolution turnaround
  • Accuracy of A/R reporting and reconciliations
  • Reduction in aging over 90 days
  • Cash flow predictability and forecasting accuracy
