Job summary

R.E. Michel Company, LLC is hiring a Credit Associate in Glen Burnie, MD. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the credit department under supervision of the Director of Credit.

You will review accounts, negotiate payment plans, resolve discrepancies and assist with new credit applications. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least three years in credit/collections or accounts receivable, with strong communication, organization, and PC skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of credit/collection, accounts receivable or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts and determine the direction to take to collect outstanding passed due balances.
• Make collections calls and determine payment plans within guidelines while maintaining customer relationships.
• Research and resolve account problems; analyze facts and follow up until resolved.
• Provide support for new application processing and file updates by conducting a credit investigation and recommending approval.
