Job summary

TouchTunes is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team in Schaumburg, IL on a hybrid schedule with up to 50% remote. You’ll own a portfolio of customer accounts, resolve billing questions, reconcile balances, and keep payments moving.

You’ll collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop payment plans and ensure accurate posting while upholding TouchTunes’ values and focus on data accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in AR, collections, or customer accounts.
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting functionality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an assigned customer portfolio and be the trusted contact for customers and internal partners.
• Proactively resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies within assigned territories.
• Contact customers by phone and email regarding current and past-due balances.
• Research billing questions, discrepancies, and disputes and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve.
• Review aging reports and identify accounts needing attention.
• Reconcile customer accounts and payments.
• Develop payment arrangements with customers and resolve collection issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers, operators, and internal teams.
• Prepare credit memos and process credits and refunds.
• Maintain credit card information and documentation for AR processing.
• Prepare weekly operator debits.
• Support additional AR projects and priorities as needed.

Collections Specialist

Location: Schaumburg, IL | Hybrid – up to 50% remote

TouchTunes is looking for a Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team. You’ll own a portfolio of customer accounts and work directly with our customers and internal teams to resolve billing questions, reconcile accounts, and keep payments moving.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the details, figuring out what happened, and working with people to find a solution. You’ll have the independence to manage your accounts while being part of a collaborative Finance team that’s ready to jump in and help.

What you'll do

You’ll take ownership of an assigned customer portfolio and become a trusted point of contact for both customers and internal partners. On a typical day, you might:

• Manage customer accounts within assigned territories and proactively resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies
• Connect with customers by phone and email regarding current and past-due balances
• Research billing questions, discrepancies, and disputes and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them
• Review aging reports and identify accounts that need attention
• Reconcile customer accounts and payments
• Partner with customers to develop payment arrangements and resolve collection issues
• Build strong working relationships with customers, operators, and internal teams
• Prepare credit memos and process customer credits and refunds
• Maintain credit card information and documentation for Accounts Receivable processing
• Prepare weekly operator debits
• Pitch in on additional Accounts Receivable projects and priorities as needed

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant business, accounts receivable, collections, or customer account experience
• Experience working with an ERP or similar business system and using reporting functionality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A customer-first mindset and the ability to navigate challenging conversations professionally
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage your work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
