Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Credit/AR Manager to coordinate accounts receivable and collection duties, approve/decline and issue lines of credit, conduct credit investigations, and follow proper credit approval procedures to limit losses while growing the store’s AR.

The role involves supervising staff, managing AR activities, and ensuring delinquent accounts are acted upon in a timely, compliant manner. Valid driver’s license and accounting experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; three (3) years experience in accounting/bookkeeping, loan processing, and/or collections.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and leads assigned staff; provides guidance to attain efficient office and credit operations.
• Oversees the accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Reviews and evaluates credit applications; verifies financial status; recommends approval or rejection of credit.
• Contacts customers to collect overdue payments and may travel to collect on delinquent accounts; may assist with repossessions.
• Ensures all correspondence with customers is properly documented.
