Job summary

Allied Mineral Products, LLC seeks a Credit Specialist to manage accounts receivable aging, coordinate with Sales and Customer Relations, and drive timely collections while balancing customer needs with strong credit practices.

You will review open accounts, prepare reconciliations, monitor DSO, and use SAP S/4HANA and customer portals. The role offers competitive pay and benefits including ESOP, 401K, and comprehensive insurance.

Qualifications

• A bachelors’ degree in accounting or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience required.
• A minimum of 2 related years’ work experience desired, preferably in credit and collections.
• Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, a team player with strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and communicate at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Generate accounts receivable aging reports to review with Sales, Customer Relations and other management.
• Review open customer accounts and prepare client-specific reconciliations and reports to aid collection efforts on past due balances.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and short payments, and communicate recommended account adjustments when necessary.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Sales and Customer Relations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer contacts to reduce DSO.
• Make recommendations for collection assistance from external agencies when necessary.
• Maintain business partner records in SAP, preserving confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Monitor incoming sales orders flagged for decisioning and release orders when cleared.
• Manage daily customer remittance details and assist cash application.
• Assist in gathering data for new accounts for Credit Supervisor to vet payment terms and credit limits.
• Determine appropriate payment terms and credit limit when Credit Supervisor is absent.
