Job summary

Mizuho seeks a dedicated credit professional to support the credit approval and monitoring process within the FICPC team. You will analyze borrower creditworthiness, structure loans, and prepare clear credit opinions for management and branches.

Responsibilities include building cash flow and projection models, benchmarking against peers, and monitoring market indicators to inform risk decisions. A strong analytics background and financial statement analysis are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant banking/credit experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, curious self-starter with interest in finance.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to assimilate complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis of creditworthiness, loan structure, risk/return, and cash flow.
• Create projection/recovery/other financial models and comment on assumptions.
• Compare borrower/counterparty to peers and summarize industry trends.
• Prepare written Credit Opinions with recommendations for approval/decline.
• Recommend risk rating for customers/transactions.
• Monitor borrowers/industries and report impacts to Senior Management.
• Comply with credit standards, policies, and requirements.
