Job summary

FirstBank Florida is seeking an experienced credit underwriter to analyze and underwrite Multifamily, CRE and Commercial/Business loans. You will prepare CAMs, review financial statements, appraisals, and lease analyses to assess credit risk.

You will present loan files to officers and committees, ensure compliance with underwriting standards, and maintain clear communication with loan officers and clients throughout the transaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' banking/lending practices or related field.
• English/Spanish communication required due to high volume of Hispanic customers.
• Able to work flexible hours according to department needs during peak time.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze loan packages for CRE, multifamily and business loans to determine feasibility and credit risk.
• Prepare and review CAMs including credit analysis, collateral cash flow, debt service coverage, rent roll and lease analysis.
• Present loan files to loan officers, senior credit officer or lending authority for discussion and approval; report material risk factors to senior staff.
• Maintain ongoing communication with loan officers and customers to resolve discrepancies and provide transaction updates.
• Assist with loan policies, quality control, loan review and underwriting when needed.
