Job summary

Brunswick, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking a Credit Analyst to administer and enforce credit and collection policies for customers, assessing creditworthiness and recommending credit limits. You will manage a portfolio and monitor financial exposure while driving process improvements.

You will analyze customer financial conditions, conduct regular reviews, and collaborate with sales and finance to determine credit lines. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential.

Position Overview

As part of the talented Finance team, you will be responsible for administering and enforcing company credit and collection policies and procedures, contributing to the assessment of credit worthiness and recommending credit limits. Management of portfolio to include collection and ongoing monitoring of financial analysis of existing and new customers for changes in exposure and risk tolerance. Additional responsibilities to be assigned either on a project basis or based on continuous improvement initiative. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.

Essential Functions
  • Effectively secure prompt payment from customers while employing commercial sensitivity, business acumen and good judgement
  • Complete daily worklist activities from collection software system, recording notes in collection software system, documenting important internal/external conversations
  • Analyze customer financial conditions to assess credit risk and recommend customer credit lines by conducting regularly scheduled credit reviews
  • Address customer orders which fail to pass through the auto-approval parameter due to delinquency, overlines, etc. Release orders once credit worthiness has been determined and collection is reasonably assured.
  • Escalate key issues to Credit Leadership and Sales of potential credit risk in portfolio to determine next plan of action
  • Provide excellent customer service and develop strong relationships with internal/external customers
  • Negotiate customer disputes to resolution
  • Additional projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal team members, business stakeholders and externally with customers and banks
  • Ability to reason through problems and suggest workable solutions
  • Ability to make independent judgments regarding technical issues
  • Negotiation skills
  • Self-starter, a willingness to grow their career by increasing financial knowledge and experience
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to reset priorities to meet daily demands
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred Credit Analyst or finance experience preferred The anticipated pay range for this position is 47,000 – 65,200 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
