Job Summary
The Team Lead of Credentialing oversees the credentialing team, ensuring timely and accurate provider enrollment across all payer types. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of credentialing workflows. The Team Lead collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the credentialing team, offering guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the end-to-end credentialing process, ensuring timely submission and resolution of applications.
- Collaborate with clients and internal departments to align credentialing strategies with operational goals.
- Monitor credentialing timelines, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and share updates.
- Ensure team members are trained on current credentialing standards, payer requirements, and tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation of credentialing activities and provider records.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on credentialing metrics, team performance, and client feedback.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required, Associate degree preferred.
- Proven experience within credentialing or healthcare operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
Salary And Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until June 21, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience and other
Qualifications Of The Successful Candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and
subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
