Job summary

University of Iowa seeks a full-time Credentialing Supervisor to lead hospital privileging and credentialing activities at UI Health Care. The role coordinates committees, manages primary source verification, and ensures NCQA/JComm standards are met across providers.

The supervisor provides guidance to Credentialing Specialists, handles complex inquiries, and maintains policy adherence while supporting CSO operations and NPDB administration in Coralville, IA.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS degree or combination of related education and experience.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and NCQA standards.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Credentials Subcommittee meetings and privileging ballots.
• Audit data for accuracy and ensure compliance with accrediting bodies.
• Support daily credentialing operations and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of UI Health Care bylaws and credentialing policies.
• Act as NPDB Administrator and coordinate malpractice data for committee review.
