Responsibilities

• Perform as SME to Licensed Independent Providers (LIPs) and Service Chiefs regarding routine and complex matters related to Credentialing & Privileging (C&P).
• Assist the C&P Manager in developing short- and long-term goals for the C&P program.
• Assist in drafting local credentialing processes and Medical Staff Bylaws in compliance with regulations.
• Review VetPro reports detecting problem areas requiring further investigation.
• Inform the C&P Manager of trends, audit results and issues affecting provider privilege status.
• Provide guidance to hospital staff in documenting privileges for LIPs.
• Assure application packages meet technical requirements per provider specialty and manage VetPro/database accounts.
• Serve as technical advisor to the ECMS and provide routine and special reports as requested.
• Establish and maintain files pertaining to the C&P process and perform other duties as assigned.
