The Credentialing Program Assistant is assigned to the Medical Staff Office - which is under the Chief of Staff at a VA Medical Center (VAMC) and is responsible for providing administrative and technical direction and support to the credentialing and privileging (C&P) operations in St. Louis - MO.
To qualify for this position - applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. You may qualify at the GS-6 level if you possess the following qualifications: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of Specialized Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge - skills - and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position - and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable - this specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Specialized experience includes: providing guidance/advice to providers - staff - and management; collecting - compiling - and tracking data; preparing reports; and verifying credentials and privileging in a medical setting.
