The Credentialing Program Assistant is assigned to the Medical Staff Office, which is under the Chief of Staff at a VA Medical Center (VAMC) and is responsible for providing administrative and technical direction and support to the credentialing and privileging (C&P) operations in St. Louis, MO. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. You may qualify at the GS-6 level if you possess the following qualifications:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of Specialized Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, this specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Specialized experience includes: providing guidance/advice to providers, staff, and management; collecting, compiling, and tracking data; preparing reports; and verifying credentials and privileging in a medical setting.
