Job summary

Humana is seeking a Credentialing Professional 1 to support clinician compliance by monitoring and maintaining professional licenses. The role performs primary source verifications, maintains records, supports audits, and partners with clinicians and compliance teams to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include verifying licenses, monitoring status, and generating credential reports while researching licensure issues and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, credentialing, compliance, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Experience in healthcare credentialing, licensure monitoring, compliance, or audit support.
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Experience working with large data sets and credentialing systems.

Additional information

This role is part of the Variable Staffing Pool( VSP), which pays at an hourly rate. Variable Staffing Pool Humana associates work part to full time hours based on business need. VSPs are not eligible for associate bonuses and receive limited benefits, which are effective upon hire. The hours for this role are generally aligned based on the associate and business task at hand. This role will report to a Credentialing Manager. This role is fully remote within the US. This role is an individual contributor with no direct reports.

Work at Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana 's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $48,900 - $66,200 per year
