Responsible for obtaining and maintaining critical credentialing data necessary for the initial and reappointment process of all practitioners to determine participatory status for the health plan, thereby supporting the selection and contracting of practitioners who maintain the clinical skills and judgment necessary to deliver high-quality healthcare and service excellence to all members of Providence Health Plans. Responsible for integrating current standards as required by various regulatory agencies such as Medicare/Medicaid and the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

Credentialing Coordinator (Remote)

Responsible for obtaining and maintaining critical credentialing data necessary for the initial and reappointment process of all practitioners to determine participatory status for the health plan, thereby supporting the selection and contracting of practitioners who maintain the clinical skills and judgment necessary to deliver high-quality healthcare and service excellence to all members of Providence Health Plans. Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management OR Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management OR Certification in Medical Staff Services OR 3 years medical staff/credentialing experience
  • Demonstrated experience functioning in a team environment with key timeliness and productivity measures
  • Experience utilizing computer databases
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Medical Staff Services
  • 3 years of medical staff/credentialing experience
  • Provider credentialing/recredentialing experience in a health plan
