Job summary

Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, lab work and client education. Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician required and licensed in-state.
• Strong communication skills for client education and teamwork.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; PPE usage.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety techniques in a clinical setting.
• Ability to calculate medication dosages accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and patient care.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals during procedures.
• Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures.
• Provide proper animal handling and restraining as needed.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia per veterinarian instruction.
• Maintain clean exam, treatment, and lab areas; restock supplies.
• Demonstrate warmth, courtesy, and professionalism with clients and patients.
• Communicate with veterinarians and team about patient plans and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
