Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas in Charlotte, NC seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and lab work. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, client education, and teamwork with a dedicated staff.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with duties ranging from vital signs and histories to radiographs, labs, and medication administration, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and client education.
• Ability to perform basic math and dose calculations.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office).
• Commitment to OSHA safety practices and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine, surgery, and related tasks.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Collect samples and perform in-hospital laboratory testing.
• Take radiographs and maintain safety procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Maintain clean treatment and lab areas and restock supplies.
• Demonstrate warmth, courtesy, and professionalism with clients.
